What we do:
The most common question we are asked is “Do you buy cable reels?” The answer is “YES… that’s what we do”.
The second most common question is “Do you sell cable reels?” The answer is “YES …that’s what we do”.
Then, the third most common question is “What do you do with them????”
Since 1985 we have been buying and selling cable reels…that’s what we do. We buy discarded cable reels, also known as cable drums, from electricians and the like. We transport them to our workshops where they are repaired and refurbished by our skilled staff ready for sale.
We are able to sell our quality, second hand cable reels to the cable manufacturing industry as a truly recycled product to hold new cable thus delivering substantial cost savings compared to using new cable reels.
To explain… Electrical cable requires a quality cable reel, essentially as its packaging, to protect the cable and to enable it to be wound off the cable reel for use. When an electrician has used the cable he is left with the cable reel to dispose of. Dumping discarded cable reels in the bin is, not only, an expense but they go to landfill as waste.
Upon hearing about what we do the reaction is usually “WOW, that’s fantastic!”
